You’ve set the boat up perfectly and all those hours on the water shows in what you do, thanks for giving our family ( 3 generations of us ) a fantastic experience, it’s a shame we missed you on our days debrief over a beer at the sixteen tun , maybe next time hey. Best charter I have been on in the Hauraki gulf, Roys taught me alot through out the day in targeting kingfish and snapper. A day I'll never forget thank you Roy!!!

If you are looking for an unforgettable experience fishing the Hauraki Roy is your man. An awesome boat got us out wide and straight into the the fish. Never experienced workup fishing like it. PBs snapper and kingfish before lunchtime! Premium gear to fish with, also learnt a bit to improve my jigging and slowjigging. Recommend!

Best thing I noticed with Roy is his explains how each lure works, through out the day you get to experience all different kinds of fishing. it was great learning curve. Roy is always professional and provides a first rate experience. He isn't afraid to motor the distance and get on fish, which means that you spend your time fishing and not just soaking your lines. His gear is top quality as well. Roy has become as much a friend as my first pick in charters here in Aotearoa.

I took my workers out on a charter with Roy over 3 years ago. Was such a great experience. I've since done at least 6 - 7 trips with him. Hes always on the move finding the best fishing spots. Fish N Dips was such a unique experience! Roy is such a pro, very knowledgeable and always knows where all the fish are with sofisticated gear and good ol' binoculars! Just got back from an amazing jig /top water trip with Captain Roy. He is a True master in his craft !!! His local knowledge and ability to read the water and put us on fish was incredible. I’ve been out with Roy 5 times now over the last couple of years - and looking to book a 6th in over the next couple of months. In that time we’ve caught numerous Kingfish and Snapper! Roy helped teach me a lot of about stickbaiting and jigging for kingis which has proven to be invaluable - skills i now use frequently! Every time i go out i learn a couple new things - Roy is a wealth of fishing knowledge! Roy is very hands on - giving you as much or as little assistance as you need and coaching you through the art of lure fishing (if you need it). I think he has some weird 6th sense with the gannets as well - he ALWAYS knows where they are working. I’ve been out on a couple of other charters where we’ve just gone out into the Hauraki and hoped - not with Roy. He puts in the work to get you on the fish. Some of the workups i’ve experienced on Fish and Dips have been out of this world - hundreds of gannets, dolphins, sometimes whales - are all just the norm. Finally, Roy uses high quality Shimano gear - whether it’s topwater rod & reels, jigging or slow jigging, it’s all a pleasure to use. Fish and dips is easily the best fishing charter in Auckland! Can’t wait for my next charter!

I have fished with Roy of Fish n' Dips for a number of years now and wouldn't fish with anyone else in the Auckland area. Roy knows the area like the back of his hand and gives his customers a good day out. As well as public trips I have also gone with Roy on a several private trips, especially topwater casting for kingfish. I own my own boat but still go out with Roy, he is super knowledgable and happy to share his knowledge. It doesn't mater if you're a first timer or a seasoned pro', if you want to go fishing in Auckland do yourself a solid and book with Roy.

We have been out with Roy from Fish n Dip Charters a few times and I can honestly say the fishing has been second to none . The amount of fish and size of fish I’ve never seen before . I highly recommend Roy from fish n dips charters, we had an amazing experience learning how to fish with lures. I finally landed my first kingfish and it was a big one. Roy took us to fish the workups after the kingfish session it was an experience we will never forget, dolphins whales and diving birds all around us while we filled the bin with some big snappers and other species. Thank you again for an amazing experience and an awesome day can’t recommend your service highly enough me and my crew had the best day fishing ever. We will be back soon to book another trip.

Took the family out for a winter fishing trip with Fish n Dips Charters. What a wonderful experience! It was absolutely amazing time on the water. We saw Dolphins, whales and lots of diving birds. It was our first time fishing as a family and we were surprised when skipper Roy told us that we will use lures and no bait. We caught so many Snappers, Kingfish and few other types of fish. Hand down one of the best days for our family in long time. Highly recommended! wish I could give it more stars. Thanks, skipper Roy, for creating such good memories for us all.

If you want to catch fish then Roy from fish n dips charters is the man you want go fishing with . Roy will put you on the spot for what ever species your after. Roy will keep on the hunt until the fish are found and then it’s full on . Guaranteed a good day .

Thanks for an absolutely amazing day that my family and I will never forget. While visiting Auckland from California we were recommended this charter by a friend who went out with them last month and loved it. And boy, we were not disappointed! I never would have imagined we would find such a variety of fish just short distance from Auckland downtown. We caught some kingfish, snappers and other variety of fish we never saw before. We even got to see some dolphins and whales! Roy is a great captain who obviously love what he does. I can not recommend this charter enough.
