1. Booking and Payment Confirmation
o Your booking is confirmed once we’ve agreed on the details via email, text, phone, or once the booking is made via our online booking system.
o A deposit of $450 is required for a whole boat charter to secure your booking. The deposit is non-refundable unless agreed otherwise.
o For individual shared charters, the full amount is required at the time of booking. Paying the Balance
o The remaining balance for bookings must be paid no later than 7 days before your trip. You can pay via bank transfer or our online booking system. Credit card
payments may incur additional fees, and cheques are not accepted.
o Late payments may result in the booking being offered to other customers.
Pricing
o All prices include GST.
o Tailored trips are subject to individual pricing; please get in touch with us for more information.
2. Cancellation Policy
If You Need to Cancel:
We understand that plans can change! Here’s how our cancellations work:
o 30+ days before your trip: You’ll get a full refund.
o 30 to 7 days before your trip: You’ll lose your deposit unless someone else rebooks your date.
o Less than 7 days before your trip: Full payment is required, and refunds aren’t available.
o No-shows or late arrivals will not be eligible for refunds or rescheduling, and outstanding balances still must be paid in full.
If something comes up and your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll help you find the best solution.
If We Need to Cancel:
o Your safety is always our top priority. Trips may be cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical issues, or unforeseen circumstances. Customers will be
offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
o We have the sole discretion to cancel or shorten trips due to adverse weather conditions. In the event of trip cancellation, customers will be notified as soon as
possible based on the latest weather report and offered rescheduling options or a refund. If we need to cut the trip short due to weather or technical issues, we’ll offer a
partial refund or another trip based on the circumstances.
o If cancellations are due to the government-implemented COVID-19 restrictions, customers may choose to reschedule, receive a credit for a future trip, or request a
refund.
3. Health and Safety
o Customers must notify the operator at the time of booking of any medical conditions, illnesses, or disabilities that could impact their participation. Passengers with medical conditions must inform the skipper upon boarding.
o Customers must follow all safety instructions provided by the skipper, including wearing lifejackets when necessary. The skipper will explain where safety gear is, how
to use it, and anything else you need to know in case of an emergency.
o All children must be actively supervised by their parent or guardian at all times.
o The skipper reserves the right to terminate the trip for any passenger acting recklessly or endangering others. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
o Intoxicated or disruptive behaviour may result in the trip ending early without a refund.
o The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate termination of the trip.
o The operator reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for operational or safety reasons.
4. Fishing Rules and Sustainable Practices
We love our oceans and follow strict regulations to protect marine life. We ask you to do the same. Customers are required to follow all fishing regulations and quotas set by the Ministry of Primary Industries. Any non-compliance is the customer’s responsibility.
Catch limits include:
o Maximum of 7 snappers per person (minimum size: 30 cm).
o Maximum of 1 kingfish per person.
o The catch will be shared fairly among customers, as decided by the skipper.
5. Equipment and Customer’s Responsibility
o If you’re using our fishing gear, please look after it! Losses or damage caused by misuse will incur replacement costs. Normal wear and tear are excluded.
o Customers are responsible for their own belongings. The operator accepts no liability for lost or damaged items.
o Customers must pay for any damage caused to the boat, fittings, or equipment.
6. Trip Operations
o Please arrive at the departure point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
o Late arrivals may result in the boat leaving without the customer. Missed trips will not be refunded, rescheduled, or compensated, and outstanding balances must still be paid in full.
o Shared charters require a minimum of 6 passengers to go ahead. If the minimum is not met, the operator reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the trip.
